The Big Tell Showcase 2023

Join the community for The Big Tell showcase and uncover the untold stories of California’s Central Valley through the lens of local filmmakers!
The Big Tell is a regional filmmaking program offering grants for the production of 5-minute short documentaries that feature stories from California’s great Central Valley.
Earlier this year 13 grants of $8,000 were awarded for the creation of short films showcasing the incredible people, places, and activities that make the Central Valley so remarkable. Winners had three months to complete their short films and received one-on-one mentorship from Emmy-nominated documentarian Sascha Brown Rice.
Now it’s time to showcase all their documentaries on the big screen! This year we’re returning to the historic Tower Theatre in Fresno. Admission is FREE, but RSVP to get reminders and updates! For more information please visit TheBigTell.org
The Big Tell 2023 is presented by the James B. McClatchy Foundation, the Central Valley Community Foundation, the KDA Creative Corps, California Arts Council, and Valley PBS.
